How do you become a surfer? Well, If you spend around 800 - 1000 hours in the water with a surfboard and a really good instructor under an advanced surf course, you can learn a lot and become a surfer!
Our one month course is made for surf enthusiasts who want to take up surfing seriously. If you want to make surfing part of your lifestyle, be able to surf some decent waves when you find local surf spots while traveling, or plan on surfing regularly with us improving your skills and maneuvers, then this course is designed for you.
Become a Surfer with our 'Advanced Surf Course' - You will get in-depth coaching in surfing. We will start from the basics like -
- Choosing your Surfboard
- Essentials skills like –
- Standing on the board on a wave
- Riding along the unbroken waves with good speed and stance
- Stalling and accelerating
- Duck Diving
- Turtle Role
- Ocean safety
- Surf Etiquette
- Wave Dynamics
And later move on to more advanced surf course training of maneuvers like basic bottom turns, cutbacks, and so on. You will learn a lot more about rip currents, channels in the ocean, best practices of paddling out, taking on bigger waves, breathing exercises, and surfer’s work out program as well.
Simply said, this advanced surf course is designed in such a way, that once finished you can call yourself a surfer. That said, surfing is just like any other skill or sport. To improve and to even maintain our level of progress, we need to keep at it. At the end of the course, we will give you a roadmap of how often you should train/surf based on your interest or goal. Usually, this could be as often as once every month or as stretched out as once every six months for about a week or so.
But the point being, to not let your body forget postures and techniques learned. Please feel free to contact us for any other details you need regarding the course.
The cost of Rs.62,000 per person is inclusive of :
- Equipment Rental
- Surf Lessons from ISA Certified Instructor
- Life Jacket (If you can’t swim).
- Drinking water
- Shower facilities.
Our ISA certified surf instructors will explain, demonstrate, and guide you throughout your surfing course with constant constructive feedback.
Note - Please note that although you don’t have to be a swimmer to learn the basics of surfing, we recommend that you learn swimming if you want to take up this course. You can also strengthen your swimming while you are here. But knowing good swimming is recommended to take maximum advantage of this course.
